Gibson Les Paul Special Faded Worn Cherry Reviews 5

Purchased off Ebay in mint for $550. An awesome deal :)

It's a true Gibson. Great feel, even better sound. The 490R/498T Alnico pickups are better than what are on the LP Standard IMO. It has the same pickups as the LP Custom! Smooth to the touch, very quick fretboard, super low action. It's just an awesome guitar. I prefer just the solid, flat mohagany top to the extra carved maple that other LPs have ontop, too. It looks and feels great.

Scary price tag! That's the biggest thing. It doesn't follow the "you get what you pay for" trend that every other guitar does. You get essentially the same guitar as a Gibson LP Custom without the aesthetics. Rosewood instead of Ebony fretboard, and Ebony is always nice, but so is Rosewood. Pearloid dots aren't as great as mother of pearl inlays.

Gibson quality without a doubt. Very well made! That's about all that needs to be said.

This is an amazing guitar. I almost said ".. for the price," but it's an amazing guitar for any price. It lacks some of the nicer-looking details that more expensive LPs have, but they're just looks. Anybody that tells you that this guitar isn't as good as other Gibsons is just mad because he spent an extra $1000+ for something that is not any better!
